Thayne's Scrapbook Layouts

Braedn's Scrapbook Layouts

Here I am again finally. Lots going on - or at least a lot WENT on. Finished up school. Got A's - yadda, yadda, yadda. I'm frustrated because I feel like I didn't learn anything this semester. Waste of time. Hope next semester is more exciting.

Got to celebrate Chris's birthday last Friday by actually going out together. We went and saw I am Legend with Will Smith. It was pretty good but so suspenseful that I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. It's been a long time since I saw something scary.

I'll keep up the post through these pictures so follow along!

Just a pic of the boys pretend napping. Funny!

Finally I've got picture's of Sylvia's twins. They were born October 23. Sara on the left and Zach on the right.

Here's a pic of Rory, Aimee Hagen's (Posanka) first child. He was born on August 18th.

So Braedn ended up with surgery last Saturday. He somehow got a staph infection from a cut in his foot that moved up to the lymph nodes in his groin and abcessed. They went in and cut open the abcess to drain it. I've had the fun job of keeping it open all week. Braedn did so well and has been a real trooper.
In the ER the Wednesday before the surgery figuring out what was going on:

Sheesh - I just can't seem to stay on top of things.

Let's see - my biggest news is that they changed the requirements for the bachelor's degree at school, so now I only have to do two additional semesters after my associates instead of three. And I don't have to take Epidemiology. Whoo-Hoo!

We celebrated Thanksgiving. As you can see, we didn't have a "traditional" dinner, but it sure was good. Thayne ate nothing all day, but he totally missed out. Toddlers are sure strange about eating. We also put up the tree, which is unusual for us. We usually wait until Chris's birthday to do it. But since we have two cool advent calendars to put out anyways, we decided to do all of it. We stayed with mostly unbreakables this year after Braedn's fun with smashing the glass balls all over the floor last year. Of course they have broken things anyway.

Only a couple more weeks of school left. I'm kinda bummed b/c this semester has been so easy and I doubt that it will be as easy next semester. We'll see.

Just looking forward to Christmas... at least I only work Christmas night.

Finally getting around to scrapping stuff from August...

Warning! This one is big!

Wow - I've been a slacker!
Here's what's been going on. Halloween. Sick boys. School. Missing school. Tests. Got addicted to something new in the scrapbooking world. Chris gone for weekend. No Work!

I elaborate.

We took the boys to Boo at the Zoo the Saturday before Halloween. Thayne was a nightmare and it really wasn't that much fun. I usually can enjoy anything but this child is REALLY pushing my buttons right now. They wore their costumes again on Monday to childcare and then on Halloween Braedn and Chris went trick-or-treating while Thayne and I passed out candy. How funny is this - I let Thayne put the candy in kid's bags until I realized that he was putting one piece of candy in and taking five out!
Last weekend boys got sick. Braedn threw up all Saturday night and has had nasty runs ever since. Thayne got croup - badly. He's still sick but the croupy cough is all gone. He was so good at the doctor on Sunday. They decided to give him a nebulizer treatment to help his breathing. He wore the mask for about 10 minutes and just kept looking up a me and saying "All done?" the whole time.

So I missed class on Monday and Chris missed work on Tuesday. I had to reschedule my tests for Tuesday but did fine with A's on them.

So it's just me and the boys this weekend. Chris went with a bunch of guys from work up fishing. Good news is that I had to take the weekend off work. Bad news is that I have a lot of homework to do and I am NOT MOTIVATED AT ALL.
Worst, I decided to do some digital scrapbooking challenges for free scrapbooking kits. Needless to say, that's all I've done all week. Oops. I've posted the challenges below, some are quite funny.
Boys in their costumes.
See why I didn't enjoy the zoo?
They are good together (most of the time)
How can an evil genius be this cute?
Ditto.

Here are all the layouts I did instead of schoolwork:
Was supposed to only use 1 color:

Had to start the journaling with "I still laugh out loud when..."

This one was a sketch that we had to use the layout.
For this one, we had to use 10 different things. One was a sun. I "cheated" and used this picture so that it could count as that one.

This one had a quote about sisters. Thought it would be hard until I realized that I DO have a sister.

This one is called scraplifting. You steal someone else's layout and make it your own.

Had to scrap our favorite hottie.

Love you all!

This could be a really big post, so watch out!

Big week! Slyvia finally had the twins on Tuesday morning. Luckily her body cooperated and her water broke. Both children were born vaginally. They are big - Zach (the OLDEST) is 8lbs8oz and Sara is 9lbs1oz. Congrats my friend. Wish I could be there to see them and help out. Hopefully I can post pictures of them soon. (I figure I will hear from Sylvia in about 6 weeks when she's got everything figured out!!!!)

We took the boys pumpkin picking on Wednesday. Pictures further down.

Finally learned something in nursing school (only took 1/2 the semester).

I'll have more great pictures after tomorrow, we're taking the boys in costume to Boo at the Zoo.
